Freight is often received in bulk and needs to be broken down into individual shipments for onwards transportation.

Audax's FCS uses a combination of bar-coded labels, hand held scanners and Electronic Data Interchange to track the freight at each stage of its journey - on collection from the Shipper, arrival at each Hub, handover to the Carrier, and final delivery to the Consignee. Paperwork is minimised with waybills automatically produced and their shipment costs calculated. Consignees can be pre-advised of the status of their shipments and appointments arranged to deliver the freight based on specific consignee information.

Typical application
Bulk arrival in the import gateway of high value goods like pharmaceutical products or computer chips, where freight may have been consolidated in the export gateway to save money. It now needs to be broken down for different destinations. FCS ensures all this happens smoothly - while helping to save costs in the first place - in the consolidate phase - and then in cross dock processes.
